As stated in our By-Laws in part:
It shall be the purpose of the Gruppe to create and foster among its members a genuine love for Alpine traditions, customs, Schuhplattler folkdances and comradeship, to uphold and display original Bavarian costumes, to encourage both the study of, and participation in, the common aspects of Alpine folklore.

No prior knowledge of dancing is required; just a desire to dance, meet new friends, and participate in a traditional activity that dates back hundreds of years.
